commercially available in
Benefits to brewers
Entering the 2007
BrewNZ Beer Awards will provide your company with:
·
peer
and industry recognition of brewing expertise and knowledge
·
a
professionally co-ordinated event considered to be of an international standard
·
increased
brand awareness and profile
·
a
great marketing tool for medal winners
Trophy Classes
Each year the
event is held, further refinements and adjustments are made in its structure to
ensure the Awards meet the highest international standards possible. The changes for 2007 are clarified in the
style guidelines explanation.
For 2007 we have made
some changes to trophy classes to more accurately reflect beer styles and the
colour based classes of the past. The beer styles used by BrewNZ are based on
those used at the 2006 World Beer Cup (WBC) with minor amendments and
adaptations.
The organisers of
BrewNZ believe that the adoption of the WBC categories has brought the New Zealand Beer Awards into
line with the worlds most prestigious and comprehensive beer competition.
Furthermore we
believe that by adopting the WBC categories, the competition has gained further
credibility and international status. It
will also produce results that are truly accessible and meaningful to
international and domestic beer drinkers.
Responsibility
It remains the responsibility of entrants to ensure their beers are
judged in the correct style category to ensure the best result for their
beers. Entrants are urged to read the
style guidelines very closely.
